This is one way to cash in on one's notoriety if your are a athlete or and entertainer endorsement are a way to make money while your hot and a little after your fire has burned out. One of the first to the embark on the cologne flavor that i know of is Joe Namath "Broadway Joe" New York Jets quarterback of the 1970's . Brut cologne was his pic and later Old spice now Joe was a pic man he didn't involve himself with any designer scents he just read what was on the script and was done with it. But times have changed most that pic these products today want more name recognition and ownership there are two entertainers that have caught my nose.
The new cologne by Sean John which is name I AM KING is for men who care about themselves and believe in themselves is sold exclusively a Macy's this cologne
is a positive affirmation for all men who view themselves as a king even if it only in there own house and while feeding the ego of men who
buy it this is a petty good marketing strategy. But is this cologne and good?
Well this is Sean "Puffy" John second Cologne in three (3) years the first was
called Unforgivable which made a reasonable impact. However this time Sean
"Puffy" John had collaborated with Estee Lauder Cosmetic and the International
Flavours and Fragrances (IFF) some of the ingredients look like stuff you drink and some are not digestible the true test can only be with your own body chemistry. But with Estee Lauder at the helm i really don't believe you can go wrong with this cologne .
Curtis Jackson known as 50 Cent the Brooklyn rap artist will present his first cologne created in cooperation with Lighthouse Beauty. The name of the cologne is called Power by 50 Cent, and 50 Cent himself participated in it's design. The cologne will arrive on sale exclusively at Macy's in autumn 50 Cent Cologne title Power by 50
He has also put together another sponsorship deal with Right Guard for a new body spray called “Pure 50" version of RGX Body spray. This advertising will be sponsor by the The Dial Corp., owners of Right Guard.
Jermaine Dupri is another hip-hop artist has enter the field with a body spray
called TAG Body Spray which is also the same name as his newly
formed record company TAG Records . Pure 50 is expected to be
on the market in the coming months.
Marketing is the key if i became famous for any reason i probably could design a cologne but will it sell just because of my fame or be cause you were sold on it. This is a double edge sword but only you and i Joe public has the last word on that .
